Warehouse Management

Warehouse management is concerned with the definition and operation of the warehouse. Topics discussed include:

  • Types of warehouses
  • Warehouse strategy
  • Warehouse processing activities
  • Warehouse performance measurement

Packaging and Materials Handling

Several key elements of effective warehouse design and management will be discussed. Topics discussed include:

  • Warehouse layout decisions
  • Selection, properties and capacities of materials storage equipment
  • Selection and operating characteristics of warehouse materials handling equipment
